A former Google recruiter shared this resume tip for job seekers in a CNBC article last week:

“The biggest resume mistake I see is writing for the one person who already knows your story: you.”

Essentially, a strong resume explains your impact in plain language, adds enough context for an outsider to understand why your work mattered, and replaces vague jargon, unexplained metrics, and generic self-descriptions with specific, measurable accomplishments.
