On Friday, the US Labor Department announced that employers added a surprisingly high number of jobs in March: 178,000 total, with 76,000 of those in the Healthcare sector.

The article adds that the jobs market has been in a “holding pattern” in 2026 so far, with employers nervous about macro-level impacts from the war with Iran.

Overall, given the bleak job headlines as of late, this report was very appreciated.
