👶🏻 More WFH, more babies

Inside: Sprout Social is hiring in sales, marketing, and engineering. Plus: RTO will backfire, Stanford study links remote work with more births, an expensive office bet, and more.

Good Morning,

Bad news in tech last week: Amazon announced mass corporate layoffs, to the tune of 14,000 employees.

And you may remember that Amazon was one of the biggest companies to announce strict return-to-office mandates, meaning there are potentially thousands of employees who moved cities to keep their Amazon jobs, only to be laid off shortly thereafter.

Unfortunately, Amazon has been a workforce trendsetter in recent years, so there’s a chance other companies start considering layoffs as well.

REMOTE-FIRST COMPANY SPOTLIGHT
